Unlike traditional waterfront vacation rentals, when you book East Sister Rock Island, you rent the entire island — complete privacy, no neighbors, no shared spaces. It's just you, your guests, and 360 degrees of pristine ocean views.
The island features a 5,000-square-foot main house with three bedrooms and two bathrooms, plus an optional 700-square-foot guest house (one bedroom, one bathroom) that can accommodate up to 12 guests total. Positive: Professionalism, Quality, Responsiveness, Value The absolute best vacation I have ever had. The views are breathtaking. We spent our days swimming in the pool, floating in the moat and relaxing. The kitchen is well equipped and we enjoyed cooking and grilling together. I can’t explain how good for your mind, body and soul this place is. You must do this for yourself! The peace the island gives you is something everyone needs to experience!

Positive: Professionalism, Quality, Responsiveness, Value I have stayed on Sister Rock twice. It has enough room for a big family, but frankly, it is too romantic to bring the kids. I'm 66 years old and have traveled all over the world. Sister Rock is, by far, the best place I have ever stayed. And if you want, you can catch enough fish off the dock to feed you for the whole visit. With a little luck you'll have a large school of ten to twenty pound tarpon right off the dock at night and you can hook up with shrimp and your bass rod. Just remember, I did not say your line would survive the encounter.

Adventurous Vacation Coolest place for a warm and adventurous vacation! Nothing cooler than having your own private island and house for the week. Spent a week here and definitely didn’t wanna go home, between the beautiful sunsets and awesome activities just right off the dock it was a wonderful vacation! East Sister Rock Island has been a part of the Williford family legacy for over 30 years. Our story began with a dream — our father, Robert Williford, had always envisioned building a fully self-sufficient, off-grid sanctuary where he could fly in by helicopter and escape the world on his own terms.
When he discovered East Sister Rock, it was love at first sight. He purchased the island in 1995 and, by 1997, transformed it into a sustainable retreat powered by solar and wind energy, complete with a custom-designed rainwater catchment system.
Originally our private weekend getaway, the island became too special not to share. Since the early 2000s, we’ve opened our doors to guests from around the world, offering East Sister Rock as a one-of-a-kind vacation rental and event venue.
Today, we continue to operate the island as a family-run escape — staying true to our roots while sharing the magic of this off-grid paradise with those seeking privacy, adventure, and unforgettable memories.
